MMM Hospitality, Dinner Series Brand Photography
MMM Hospitality, who owns and runs Kneads Bakery, a local cafe in Westport CT, needed lifestyle brand photography to capture the behind the scenes of their Dinner Series. Launching back in 2022, it’s a series of dinners throughout the year highlighting the seasons with farm to table creative menus, transforming Kneads Bakery into a stylish restaurant in the evening.
We started the photoshoot before dinnertime to capture the setup and prep work that all team members were doing beforehand. Being as unobtrusive as possible, I captured over 150+ photos over the course of the dinner serving. These brand photographs showcase the team members, the chefs, and the food in an approachable and friendly manner, highlighting the small team who works incredibly hard to make this even happen. Images were mainly intended to be used on social media (Instagram) but also for the website and promotional materials in the future.
The biggest challenge with this assignment was making sure the photography didn’t interfere with the actual dinner or the behind the scenes cooking/prep of the food. That means I didn’t use flash or any additional lighting and worked within the constraints of the natural environment and the lighting provided in the restaurant space. I believe that customer experience is always paramount and when photographing during an event, it’s important to make sure the people actually enjoying their dinner aren’t disrupted by the process. I also had to work very quickly and photograph candidly without posing direction or asking the chef or a customer to repeat a movement so that I could capture it.
The dinner series and the people behind MMM Hospitality are an incredible team and I look forward to working on more projects together in the future. Below are some of my favorite images from the set.
Over the years, I’ve photographed hundreds of professionals from all industries: executives, creatives, entrepreneurs, recent grads, and everyone in between. I’ve seen first-hand the difference a strong headshot makes. And I’ve also seen the same handful of mistakes show up time and time again…
Not many people realize how easy and cost-effective it can be to get completely custom images for their company instead of using stock photos. Especially when it comes to larger companies, showing their own employees and CEO’s on their website brings a completely different feel than showing curated models pointing at a slide. In this Blog post, I’ll go over what custom business photography actually is, how it’s different than stock, and why you might want to choose one over the other…

Stone + Set Co. is an eCommerce small business based in Westport Connecticut selling high quality hand-crafted moissanite and lab diamond engagement rings and wedding bands. They needed product imagery for all their rings as well as lifestyle photos showcasing the products, all within a controlled Photography Studio environment. This means we can photograph all year round and match each new set of images to be identical to the last in terms of lighting and look.

One of my favorite aspects of being a portrait photographer is being able to work with female business owners and be a small part of their journey. When Eileen reached out to me, she explained that she needed a bigger variety of images for her new website and that her current photos, while looking great, looked too much like stock images…
Lindsey Wells is a naturopathic physician in Wilton Connecticut. She has a lengthy list of qualifications (as well as a book she wrote!) for her practice in integrative care for PANS/PANDAS, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Lyme Disease, neurodevelopmental disorders, and various chronic illnesses. And the reason she reached out to me was because she wanted professional images to use for her social media (specifically Instagram) account.
